This geometrical figure,
unlike the "pattern like" which we shall see lower, does not
seem to contain points or to represent a closed surface. The
figure has been nicknamed "the fish".

One of the "pattern
like" figure which "pattern" recall similar one found in
the engravings of the "vallée des Merveilles" in the Mercantour
national park. (Alpes-Maritimes). The real signification of these patterns
is still a mystery: houses, properties, ex-voto, ...?

A human like
figure is drawn near a tree-shaped figure. Is it the symbol of the cosmic
axes, as found in the shamanic societies?

A very nice
and thin deer figure. Is it possible to think that the agricultural
society which used this shelter, had still some remembrance of the
huntings and their associated rituals of the hunter/gatherers?

Once more a
cervid, this time an ibex, or more simply a billy goat?

Several figures overlap, made
by different colors and doubtless in different times.
The shelter seems to have kept a sacred character for
several generations.
The best
achieved human like figure of the shelter - and its very bronze age
symbol.

A tree surmounted by imprints
of fingers (did we think of recording imprints?) - signs of worships? |
The technique here is clear:
we affix fingers loaded with ochre to leave the imprint of the
extremities, and we drag them then on the cliff.
On the other hand the meaning of the act is for the moment always a
mystery.
Two different times for this
vertical "equal" sign? |
Another pattern-like figure
which includes points - certainly rather simple this one. But still not
enough so that his reading is simpler. |
Pattern-like
figures from different times. It seems that the quality of the most recent
one is less achieved: is it the end of the rite?

If the sign " vertical
equal " already described above seems to have been the result of
drawings of different times, this one seems to have been realized as such. |
Always the superimposing of
drawings of two times. The "purple" drawings always seem poorly
done with regard to those who are "ochre". |
Some coal this time, a simple
making, but there is not religious rite anymore here, only stupidity. |
"No
comment"
as would have said Gainsbourg...
